2010 Regular Race Season
Format
- 14 points races scheduled, use your 10 best finishes
for your point's total. In the event of a rain out, it will only reduce the
amount of races scheduled and not affect the point series total events, unless
there are less than 10 events completed.
- In the event of a tie in the final point standings, it
will be decided by the following order:
Most feature wins of all scheduled
races Most heat wins of all scheduled races
- Novices do not compete for points
- Must have signed in and attempted to race a minimum of
7 race dates per division of class to be eligible for a trophy at I-70 QMA's
2010 Banquet.
- Must attempt to start or qualify to be eligible for
sign in points.
- 20 sign-in points will be awarded for each attempt.
Race points will be awarded for feature events only. The winner will receive
100, 2nd place 95, 3rd place 90, etc. If you wish to run for I-70 QMA
Points, you must be a track member of I-70 QMA.
Regular Race Dates
- Pill draw sets heat race line up, heat race finish sets
up feature line up.
- Fewer than 50 sign ins, 2 heats and 1 feature.
- First heat order straight up, second heat order
inverted.
- Average heat race finish sets feature-starting
position, with first race as a tiebreaker.
- 50 sign ins and up, 1 heat and 1 feature.
- Consolation races will be used to set the feature line
up when more than a full field is signed in for a particular class.
Qualifying dates
- Pill draw sets qualifying order, qualifying sets heat
line up, heat race finish sets feature line up.
- Fewer than 50 sign ins, qualify, 1 heat, and 1
feature.
- 50 sign ins and up, qualify, and feature.
- Consolation races will be used to set the feature line
up when more than a full field is signed in for a particular class.
Format cont.
- Track Fuel will be Mid-Grade obtained from the Shell
Station located on Route 127 just North of Interstate 70 Exit #45. Car owner
will supply fuel. The technical director or the acting technical director may
take a fuel check at any time.
- Absolutely no chemical prepping of tires at the
track.
- Unless otherwise noted above, all other QMA rules
apply.
- I-70 QMA reserves the right to adjust, add, or
subtract from the format, as they feel necessary.

All races will have a 20-minute time limit Race order will
follow National order, but may be altered by Race Director.
Rain Policy
- If an event is canceled before a competition, Green
Flag lap is completed. Signed in attendees are entitled to a refund or credit
towards the next regular event.
- If the event has begun and completed the first
competition Green Flag lap and is cancelled, all signed in drivers will receive
sign in points for that day and no refunds or credits will be issued.
- If the event is canceled during the Feature events, a
combination of sign in and races points will be awarded.
- In any class that completes its feature, the driver
will receive their sign in and race points based on finishing position.
- Points Award to any class not able to complete its
feature will only be sign in points for that particular event.
Novice races are excluded from the
above policy in determining course of action. |
